History

The Naval Dockyard Co-op Bank Ltd has completed 81 Years of glorious service. The Bank was initially registered as a Co-operative society in the name of R.I.M Headquarters Co-op credit Society on 24th February 1931 & subsequently converted as Bank on 3rd March 1962. The bank was inaugurated by late Shri V. K. Krishna Menon the then H'ble Defence Minister.

The Bank has received Banking License on 10/10/1984.

The Bank had opened its new Branches at Powai in the year 1972, Karanja in 1984, Ghatkopar in 1985, Trombay in 1996 and the Extension Counter at Naval Transport Pool in 2003 respectively. Bank also started the ATM facility at Head office on 17 March 2009, and then in Powai on 26 January 2010.

The Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard, Mumbai is the Ex.Officio and President of the Bank; GM(R) is Ex. Officio and Vice-President of the Bank. AGM (P&A) and FA to ASD are Legal Advisor & Financial Advisor respectively and Expert Directors.

Our Bank provides attractive rate of interest on deposits to the customers & additional 0.50 percent interest to Senior Citizen.

The Bank has been allotted 'A' Grade.

The Bank has been awarded Certificates from Maharashtra Co-Operative Banks Federation, Brihan Mumbai Nagari Sahakari Banks Associations and Maharashtra Employees Co-operative Banks Association on various occasions. These Awards and Certificates are on the Basis of Banks performance and maintaining satisfactory norms as required and laid down by the RBI and Registrar Authorities.
